ALL PRO USA was in Licking County, Ohio to capture Pre Construction Videos for an extensive Public Utilities Project. The job was completed with the aid of a two-person crew. One crewmember was charged with piloting the construction-marked vehicle (fully equipped with safety lights and strobes), while another was tasked with the operation of an externally-mounted camera, as well as the interior camera monitor and systems. This is our usual setup for these types of projects, as it allows us to capture accurate ground level documentation of the specified survey area and all important details within the project pathway. Sometimes, a second videographer traces the project pathway on foot with a gimbal for an even more detailed look at the route.

Our pre construction videography is extremely in-depth, capturing both sides of the road, shoulders, signs of municipal infrastructure (manhole covers and drainage systems), utility structures like poles and junction boxes, crossways and intersections. Along this particular project route, we documented a number of private driveways and homes. As well as large commercial entryways, such as that of the global transport company, DSV.

It should be said that we use top of the line cameras and we always supplement our pre construction video with in-camera audio narration, recorded with a high-end microphone. This allows for additional context and clarity, when reviewing the completed pre construction video project.

Pre Construction Aerial Drone Video was not needed or required for this particular project. However, we do employee two FAA-licensed drone pilots to provide said service. Sometimes it provides an extra perspective, unobstructed by ground level objects that could impair views.

In the lead up to a job, we like to keep an eye on the weather to make sure our video survey is as accurate as possible. We want clear skies and little precipitation to ensure that our pre construction videography presents the most accurate picture of the specified survey area. On the day of, we like to contact the project manager to double check that all relevant footage on the pathway is documented accurately. Once we return to our editing studio, we complete the project by checking the project info for accuracy of date recorded, direction of travel, geographic location and other invaluable data. After completion, the project coordinator receives both a digital and hard copy, via USB drive, of the finished product.
